Wagyu beef known popularly as its trademark marbled flesh and soft texture till it can melts in your mouth. The vast majority of the beef comes from Japanese Black Cattle. Part of its allure is the smell that is unique and irresistible. Simplest way to describe wagyu smell is its unctuous and faintly reminiscent of buttery.
Wagyu has altogether of 16 compounds that give distinct smell and 10 of them is newly associated with the meat. The largest contributor to the wagyu smell is a compound which derived from fatty acid since there’s lot of fat in the wagyu beef.
